Abstract
The iCReaT (http://icreat.nih.go.kr) is a web-based clinical research and trial management system. It provides management programs related to protocols, subjects, data, and reporting. Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention started to develop the iCReaT on July 2009, and then made the iCReaT available to domestic researchers on October 2010. We have actively publicized iCReaT to researchers, and have conducted both regular and research-based training for those who want to use it. The training program consists of online basic course and offline (5-day) advanced course. We also support the iCReaT users to apply the system, and to improve clinical data quality, by giving them advice on the electronic Case Report Form design and protocol development. The iCReaT system has been used for 82 research projects since October 2010. As of Feb 28, 2017, approximately 2,700 researchers have been trained to manage clinical data using iCReaT. We have signed the Memorandum of Understanding or agreements with 14 hospitals or institutions to build cooperative relationships for the use of iCReaT and the iCReaT was used in 45 research projects. Moreover, six institutions were licensed to use iCReaT and the iCReaT was used in 27 research projects.
